(1+x)(1+x^2) = y^2

 
 
Find all integers   x   such that   (1+x) \,(1+x^2)   is a perfect square.

(1+x) \,(1+x^2) \; = \; y^2

Here are the first few solutions:

x = 0,        y = \pm 1
x = -1,     y = 0
x = 1,        y = \pm 2
x = 7,        y = \pm 20
